In 2001, Jennifer Lopez had just starred in the romantic comedy “The Wedding Planner.” I was 16 years old and that’s when in knew that one day I would be working in the Wedding industry. After finishing high school I went to university to complete my degree in Commerce. However in the back of my mind I always had that vision of creating something beautiful.
Several years later, I was helping a friend plan her Son’s Christening and that’s when something clicked within my mind. It was time to start following my dream.
Soon enough, I registered my business name and started consulting and planning events from my parents dinning room table. At this stage I was still working part time at a financial institution. I ended up making the decision to leave my day job, rent a shop space and follow my dreams of working in the Wedding / Events industry. While it’s easy to register a business name and start a business, keeping one going still demands a lot of sweat , late nights, patience, and more than a little luck.
In my admittedly biased opinion, it’s well worth the effort. Thank you to my amazing team and family who have always been there to prop me up when I’ve been down, how have helped inspire me and have supported and continue to do so! Today Miss Sunday is a force to be reckoned with. We specialise in all types of events and have an extensive range of centrepieces, props and event decor.
